08 ACCOMMODATION

Tents provided by Flor do Coração will be used, simple but with a suitable structure for everyone, according to specific needs.

For your comfort, bring your bedding, pillow, blanket or sleeping bag and towel.

Allocation priorities in case of full capacity

  • We will give priority to people with special needs, specific needs and other criteria, such as the order of registration, to stay at the farm.

  • Those who cannot stay at the farm will be allocated in a nearby accomodation. The amount paid will be the same.

09   BAGGAGE

Here are some suggestions on what to TAKE and what NOT TO TAKE in your luggage.

The suggestion here considers the climate of Goiânia at the time of the festival, as well as the conditions at Fazenda Ashram Flor do Coração. Remembering that:

  • At this time of year it is normal to be cold at night.

  • We will be in a rural environment with specific needs.

Consider your needs, such as medications, among other items that are important to you, on this list.

It is important that you take your medications with you every day of your stay at Fazenda Ashram Flor do Coração.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT COVID AND INFLUENZA 👇🏻
Currently, the number of COVID cases is not on the rise, but influenza is common in winter 🙏.

Therefore, we will follow a different safety protocol than we used last year. We ask that all participants follow the instructions below.

COVID AND INFLUENZA PROTOCOL

BREFORE YOUR TRIP

We count on everyone's support and understanding so that the Festival can take place safely, taking care of everyone's health 🙏

GUIDELINES TO AVOID ACCIDENTS WITH SNAKES, SCORPIONS AND SPIDERS
  1. Wear long pants and high boots or "snake chaps" when walking in the forest and harvesting.

    • This measure prevents 80% of accidents, as the areas most affected are the foot and leg.

  2. If you cannot wear boots or "snake chaps", wear closed shoes, do not wear flip-flops or go barefoot.

    • The measure of wearing shoes prevents 50% to 60% of accidents, not only with snakes but with all other poisonous animals.

  3. Do not collect fruit, leaves, wood or objects on the ground without looking around first.

  4. Do not put your hands in holes, under rocks or inside tree trunks.

  5. Do not squat or sit near bushes, fallen logs, piles of waste, construction materials (e.g. piles of bricks), without first observing, making sure there are no venomous animals.

  6. Check shoes, boots, sleeping bags and other items that could be used as a hiding place by venomous animals.

  7. Observe the area around you before entering the water spring/spout.

  8. Keep your luggage and tents closed at all times.

HARVESTING IN THE FOREST
  • When collecting leaves in the forest, if you need to sit down, observe the area around you.

  • ACCIDENTS: in the event of an accident, do not put your hand in the area. Before any procedure, contact the medical team.

SUNSCREEN
  • We recommend products with 30 SPF or higher, including UVA and UVB protection. Use the sunscreen you are used to.

  • The application must be done 15 minutes before sun exposure and evenly. And it must be reapplied in the same way every 2 hours.

REPELLENT
  • First use sunscreen and then the repellent should be applied to exposed skin.

  • We suggest the use of natural repellents based on citronella, andiroba, clove oil

ATTENTION

For personnel directly linked to the feitio: Do not use repellent when you are directly dealing with Rainha and Jagube, in the feitio area and cleaning the leaves.

11 CLIMATE

During the festival period the weather will be dry. Cerrado climate, with hot temperatures during the day and VERY COLD temperatures at night.

In these climatic conditions, it is recommended to hydrate quite frequently.

Due to these conditions, animals and insects look for hiding places in leaves, trunks, and inside shoes. They look for shadows and damp places.
